Support & Maintenance Services
Nomad provide full support of hardware and software products including diagnosis of problems, suggestion of workarounds, remote diagnostics services, documentation manuals and help sheets and training. Nomad can also provide full maintenance of hardware and software products including corrective maintenance including (e.g. extended equipment warranty, repair or replacement of hardware or software (via hot-swap spares), maximum response times), preventive maintenance (e.g. bug fixing, firmware updates, software updates, service packs, patches, asset management). Nomad can also provide full operation services of hardware and software products including operation of network infrastructure (e.g. hosting of servers, managing backhaul provision and pro-active monitoring to identify problems).
Software Applications
Nomad can deliver various software applications including Nomad's widely deployed FleetManager. FleetManager is a core application that is used to configure, monitor and analyse both its hardware products and also the vehicles that these products are fitted. This application is known as FleetManager. In addition to its role as an application to configure and monitor hardware, FleetManager acts as base application into which other bespoke applications can be plugged in. These applications provide more specialist functions such as analysing Signals Passed at Danger (SPAD's) and other such specialist applications that may be required by customers such as Train Operating Companies. RITA (plug-in to FleetManager) Provides train information into core application to allow passenger information to be generated and displayed on the train or in the control room (e.g. delays against timetables etc). SPAD Analyser (plug-in to FleetManager) Allows SPAD (Signal Passed At Danger) incidents to be analysed quickly. VIZIER (plug-in to FleetManager) Provides driver performance monitoring. WAN Query (standalone software) Allows wide area connections to vehicles to be monitored and analysed.

Introducing the ultimate in broadband technology for the transportation sector, the R3500 from Nomad is our flagship product in ourleading edge R3000 series. For the modern fleet, broadband communications can deliver a host of operational and security applications, as well as enhanced passenger services. These applications delivery both increased revenue, reduced costs and increased passenger satisfaction. Nomad's R3500 is equipped with leading technology to enable constant connectivity from vehicle to shore. Using a range of WAN backhaul networks,including 3G, HSDPA/HSUPA, EDGE, CDMA-2000, EV-DO, UTMS WCDMA,and 802.12, the R3500 is capable of high speed, low latency connection to ensure a high quality of service through a train's journey, whilst maintaininga secure connection. With its ruggedized design, which is fully compliant with all rail EMC, shock and vibration standards (EN 50155), the R3500 performs in the most challenging environments. Complete with a range of power supplies, including Power over Ethernet (PoE), the R3500 can be deployed in any train fleet. A range of interfaces including 1011 00 Base T Ethernet ports, RS232 serial ports and USB 2.0 enable a number of application usages, such as Passenger Information Systems, ticketing applications and CCTV.
R3200 (Rail & non rail approved)
Following on from the success of the R3500, the R3200 is the latest addition to the 3000 series of broadband gateways provided by Nomad. The R3200 provides similar functionality to its larger peer, but its reduced size enables easier deployment across fleets. The R3200 enables passenger WiFi and a range of fleet applications, including operational data downloading, driver performance monitoring and CCTV. The R3500 provides a range of WAN backhaul networks including 3G, UMTS, HSDPA/HSUPA, EDGE, CDMA-2000 EV-DO, UMTS WCDMA, and mobile 802.16. The R3200 firmware enables rapid switching between the available backhaul networks - high speed switching combined with low latency ensure a high quality of service throughout the vehicles journey. With support for 5 PCI Mini Express cards, the R3200 can support a host of applications to suit your needs. The R3200 provides a range of interface connections, including 10/100 Base T Ethernet ports, RS232 serial ports and USB 2.0 enabling connectivity with Passenger Information Systems, ticketing systems and digital voice recorder. The R3200 is a highly ruggedized, compact design, which is rail industry approved being compliant with all relevant EMC, shock, vibration and environmental standards for rail (EN 50155). The R3200 supports a range of power supplies, including Power over Ethernet (PoE).
